Tuesday, August 31, 2021, Hope, AR, The Hope Downtown Network recently voted to provide two grant opportunities to business and property owners located in downtown Hope.   Thanks to grant funds from Main Street Arkansas, Hope Downtown Network (HDN) received $3,000.  The network voted to double that amount in order to offer two separate grants.

The first grant will be a $1,000 mini grant with a $500 match from the business or property owner.  There will be three grants awarded for this dollar amount.  This mini grant is directed for external building improvements.

The second grant will be a $500 mini grant with a $500 match from the business or property owner.  There will be six grants awarded for this dollar amount.  This mini grant is directed for internal and/or external improvements.

John Hollis, President of the Hope Downtown Board of Directors stated, “The revitalization mini-grant project is designed to be a spark.  We hope that it is a stimulus for downtown businesses to improve not only their streetscape, but also their operational model. We want downtown to be the heartbeat and soul of Hope.  Any investment in downtown infrastructures serves as a catalyst for future growth and helps drive the local economy.”

Grant applications will be open from September 1, 2021 through October 31, 2021.  Applications may be picked up at the chamber located 201 S Main or via email request. Please email hopemelonfest@yahoo.com

The grants are made possible by Hope Downtown Network an Arkansas Downtown Network Program under Main Street Arkansas, a program of Arkansas Historic Preservation, and an agency of the Department of Arkansas Parks, Heritage and Tourism.
