Hope man charged in connection with March 23 shooting

A Hope individual, identified in arrest records from the Miller County Sheriff, has been arrested in an alleged connection with a March 23 shooting incident.
Christopher Dixon, age 29, of Hope, was arrested on March 26, and he was charged with two counts of First Degree Battery by the Miller County Sheriff’s office and is being held in the Miller County Detention Center.
The alleged shooting incident occurred on Saturday, March 23 in Garland City, where Miller County deputies responded to a report of gunfire. The Miller County Sheriff’s office identified two male individuals as being struck, Coileuis Davis, age 30, of Garland, and Patrick Johnson, age 21, of Stamps.
According to the Miller County Sheriff’s report, both Davis and Johnson suffered non-life threatening wounds; both were treated at Texarkana’s Wadley Regional Medical Center and later released.
