Currently, the city has positions open for a communications operator for the Hope Police Department and Firefighters for the Hope Fire Department.
Applicants must be at least 21-years-old, free of any felony convictions, and a person of good character and reputation.
The job requires a criminal justice security clearance since the position requires working with law enforcement sensitive and confidential information.
Starting Salary is expected to be between $13.70 and $14.20 an hour. The Chief of Police with permission of the City Manager may depart from the expected salary based on education and or work experience. The City of Hope is an Equal Opportunity Employer. The City of Hope Fire Department is currently accepting applications for firefighter positions. Applicants must be at least 18-years-old. Preference will be given to applicants with academy certification. The City of Hope is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
Annual pay is just over $30,000 per year. The City of Hope provides health insurance to all employees at no cost and covers half the cost for the employees’ family. Coverage includes medical, dental and vision. HFD employees are part of the Arkansas Local Police and Fire Retirement System.
