The Blue Jays dug themselves in an early hole, as they committed seven errors in the 2nd inning alone, as they fell behind early, but fought back valiantly to secure a huge comeback win over Dierks 15-14.
The Blue Jays banged out 9 hits, led by Caleb Moss and Wesley Almand who both had 2 hits each. Colin Nelson, Payton Smith, and Brandon Wilson each had doubles. Justin Myrick was a big run producer for Nevada on Thursday, as he had a single and drove in 4 runs. Almand added 3 RBI. Braylon Srebalus had a single. Moss added 2 RBI.
On the mound, Tristan Griffith had to work around some mistakes early, but did a great job giving Coach Rhodes 4 innings of work. Griffith finished the game with 3 punchouts and only 1 ER. Brogan Rhodes tossed the final 3 innings, striking out 3 batters, allowing 0 ER runs.
Nevada is back in action on Monday against Mineral Springs in a big conference showdown with the Hornets.
