It was a physical game between the Jays and a very good Mineral Springs team, a game that was close all the way to end. A pair of big free throws from Rico Aparicio, and a couple of key stops late propelled the Blue Jays to a 67-61 win.Â
Monti Mixon led the Jays in scoring with 15 and brought down 11 rebounds, a performance that included an impressive and-one dunk in transition. Taco Roberson had another good outing, scoring 14 points and grabbing eight boards. Rico Aparicio poured in 13 points and dished out four assists. Keyonte Wingfield scored 12 and had eight rebounds. Kobe Hughey went for eight points, six boards, and seven assists. Tre King knocked down a three and Hurk Burns scored two.Â
The Blue Jays are set for Senior Night on Tuesday as they host Lafayette County. Be sure to pack out the gym for this top ten matchup. The game will also be streamed on SWARK.Today.Â
