Bobcats Score Seven Goals in Win Over Monticello
Monticello- The Hope Soccer squad improved to 2-1 on the young season with an impressive performance in a 7-1 win over Monticello last week. The Bobcat attack was executed at a high level, as seven different Bobcats scored goals in the win.

Freshman Elliott Vazquez got the scoring started as he found the back of the net on a nice pass from Brian Jimenez, as the Bobcats took an early 1-0 lead and never looked back. Alex Hernandez scored the Bobcats second goal of the game, after Anthony Dominguez gave him a great pass to give Hope a 2-0 lead. Bradley Brown scored the Bobcats third goal, giving Hope a commanding 3-0 lead. Before halftime, Yahir Velazquez found Alex Sanchez with nice pass, and Sanchez scored the Bobcats fourth goal of the opening half.

Brian Jimenez began the 2nd half for the Bobcats with a great goal, on an excellent pass from John Gutierrez. Gio Ruiz would be credited with an assist in the 2nd half, as he found Josh Ramos for a goal to give Hope a 6-0 lead. Ramos would follow his goal up with a great assist, as he set up Nathan Sanchez for his first goal of the season. The Billies would score at the end of the game to make the score 7-1.

Hope is back on the pitch on Friday as they host Gurdon in a non-conference match.
