December 12, 2023 ASP’s Criminal Investigation Division is investigating a shooting that occurred at about 2:15 p.m. on Interstate 630 near the Martin Luther King exit near the Arkansas State Capitol. A 26-year-old motorist was traveling westbound on I-630 when a suspect in a silver Honda Civic pulled alongside his vehicle, firing at least two rounds into the driver's side and striking the victim in the hand. The victim and the suspect took exit 3B from I-630 but witnesses lost sight of the suspect’s vehicle.  The victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS). The suspect is still at large at this time.
