Community Gathers for Holiday-Themed Coffee at the Hempstead County Courthouse
Numerous community members turned out this morning for the annual Holiday Community Coffee hosted by the Hempstead County Courthouse. The courthouse was beautifully decorated for the season, with festive table settings and cheerful Christmas touches throughout the lobby.

Sheba’s catered the event, offering a wide variety of delicious options. Guests enjoyed ham slices and ham sliders, meatballs, shrimp, spinach dip, chicken dip, sweet treats, sugar cookie cake, red velvet mini cakes, and more. Punch and water were served as everyone mingled, visited, and enjoyed the warm, welcoming atmosphere.

Christy Burns, Executive Director of the Hope-Hempstead County Chamber of Commerce, said, “This coffee always feels like the official start of the holiday season in our community. The Courthouse staff puts so much heart into hosting, and it truly brings people together. We love seeing everyone slow down for a moment to enjoy fellowship, food, and a little Christmas cheer.”

Courthouse employees once again worked together to help provide the large spread of food and treats, continuing a tradition that many look forward to each year.

Next week’s Community Coffee will be hosted by Farmers Bank & Trust at their main location on 3rd Street.
