Curiosity Corner Opens Its Doors with Heart and Purpose
This morning The Hope Hempstead County Chamber of Commerce hosted a Ribbon Cutting for Curiosity Corner, Thrift Store & More.

Located at 415 E 2nd St in Hope, the outlet lines up with the name, having a little bit of everything and definitely makes you curious enough to stop in. The store has clothes of all sizes, nice furniture, unique dishes, beautiful paintings, fancy jewelry, and more.

Many stopped by for the ribbon cutting and couldn’t resist the urge to shop while snacking on sweet refreshments.

Mayor Don Still spoke before the ribbon was cut, “We’d like to welcome you all to this new location! It’s been amazing to see this building evolve over the years. We were just talking about how it used to be a grocery store and now it’s the start of something brand new. It looks fantastic, and we’re really excited to see it right here in downtown.

Before we wrap up, I’d love to get a quick word about your hours. When will you be open and ready for business?”

In response, Owner Ashely Isley, said, “Well, we’re opening this weekend on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m After that, we’ll be closed on Sundays and Mondays, but open Tuesday through Saturday from 10 to 6.”

Once back inside the shop, Isley added, “We’re excited to be here and to serve the community. Our hope is to be a place that can truly give back. Right now, we’re offering free backpacks and Bibles, and we plan to continue expanding what we have available. We’ll be putting out more clothing soon, too. If someone experiences a house fire or any kind of emergency, we’d love to be able to [help]. Just send them our way.”

With its heart for helping others and shelves full of surprises, Curiosity Corner is more than just a thrift store, it’s a new hub of hope and generosity in downtown Hope. Whether you’re on the hunt for a good deal or just curious to explore, this little shop invites the whole community to stop in and stay awhile.
