DeQueen- The Bobcats hit the road on Thursday and headed into a hostile environment, as they attempted to knock off #1 ranked DeQueen. The Leopards wasted little time, as they scored within the first minute of the game to make it 1-0. DeQueen would get off a great shot and extend their lead to 2-0 before half. Hope had very few opportunities in the opening half, but came out with a lot of intensity in the second half. The defense was spot-on, Joel Bello played a great second half as well. Alex Brand served up a heck of a ball to Dylan Mercado who was denied by the save of the game from the DeQueen goalkeeper to keep the Bobcats off of the board. Hope had a couple of more small windows to get a look at the goal, but a red-card had Hope finish the game a man down, and not a lot of opportunities took place after that.
The Bobcats would lose 2-0, as they fall a half-game back to Nashville for the 2-seed, due to lack of games played because of weather. The Bobcats have a busy upcoming week, as they have 3 matches in 3 days. Senior Night is Monday night vs Malvern. Then road games with Arkadelphia and Morrilton.
