Fat Tony’s Pizza Celebrates Grand Opening in Hope
The Hope-Hempstead County Chamber of Commerce hosted a ribbon cutting today for Fat Tony’s Pizza , located at 912 Hervey Street in Hope.

Attendees were treated to samples of fresh, hot pizza from the restaurant's brick oven, cheese breadsticks, garlic knots, and delicious homemade pastas as the community gathered to welcome the long-awaited pizzeria. The event drew a large crowd of locals eager to celebrate the opening.

Entertainment was provided by Mae, Margaret and Mandy who sang to the tune of a variety of songs while staff continued to refill drinks and please guests.

Fat Tony’s Pizza is owned by Margaret and Doug Ozment, who also operate BigMac’s Barbeecue and 71801 Brew & Bite. With their new venture, the Ozments continue their commitment to bringing great food and gathering places to Hope.

Hope Mayor Don Still also shared words of welcome before the ribbon was cut. It’s always exciting to see a new business open in Hope. We are grateful to the Ozments for investing in our community and for giving residents another reason to gather and enjoy good food together.”

Following the remarks, the ribbon was cut to applause from the crowd, officially marking the start of Fat Tony’s Pizza’s journey in Hope. The restaurant looks forward to serving the community for many years to come.
