Genoa Central Dominant in Win Over Bears
Genoa- The Dragons hosted the Spring Hill Bears on Thursday night in a non-conference game. The Dragons got rolling early on in this one, as they played lights out defense and shot the cover off the ball in the first half. 

Genoa Central jumped out to a commanding 23-7 lead in the first and the lead got bigger from there. The Dragons would end up winning the game 67-41. "Offensively we came off a 5-day break, we came out fresh and shot the ball incredibly well, we hang our hat on defense and we played a really good game," Coach Drew Hamilton said when asked about his teams performance on Thursday. 

Levi Huett was beyond impressive on Thursday, he back on the court after missing some games and he played very well, scoring 15 points, including knocking down 4 3's and dishing out 3 assists. Colten Gideon scored 14 point and had 4 rebounds, 3 assists, and 3 steals. Peyton Hicks posted another double-double with 10 points and 16 rebounds. Austin Pell scored 8. Jackson Thornsberry and Trent Latch each poured in 6 points. 

For the Bears, Karson Hamilton had a game-high 16 points. Hamilton added 5 rebounds. Jackson Putz scored 9. Maddux Dickson had 4 points and both Parker Steed and Jaxon Smith each scored 3. Chris Corbridge and Luke Harper scored 2 and Kohen added 1. 

Genoa Central is back on the court Friday night in Ashdown for a big conference game. Spring Hill will be back in action after Christmas at the Cougar Classic in Lafayette Co.
