HCSO reports substantial storm damage in Guernsey
The Hempstead County Sheriff's Department is on the scene in Guernsey to assess and assist with damage from this morning's storm that made its way across southwest Arkansas. HCSO Sheriff James Singleton reported that the Guernsey Volunteer Fire Department was hit, and one building was completely destroyed with another sustaining heavy damage. He also said several chicken houses and farm sheds suffered damage and that twisted trees and debris are scattered across the area.

This morning's storm followed several significant weather events that rolled through Hempstead and Nevada Counties last night, with possibly more to come. A Tornado Watch is in effect for the area until 7pm tonight and a Flood Watch in effect until tomorrow morning. Stay tuned to SWARK.Today as we continue to bring you the latest weather reports.
