Due to the inclement weather the trash routes for Hempstead County will not be running tMonday, January 26, 2026.  Hempstead County Road and Waste Department will be closed Monday, January 26, 2026.  Some of the Road crew were out checking roads as well.  Please do not get out if you do not need to.  The roads are icy and slippery making it dangerous to drive on them .  Stay warm and please be safe!!
