Hempstead County Courthouse will close at 12:00 PM Thursday, July 3, 2025 and will be closed Friday, July 4, 2025 to observe Independence Day.

Hempstead County Road and Waste Department will close as soon as the trash route is through and will be closed Monday, July 7, 2025.  Trash routes for Monday, July 7 and Tuesday, July 8 will be collected on Tuesday, July 8, 2025.  Please have your trash out by 7:00 AM.
