Addendum to yesterday's story: Junior Auxiliary President Carmen Galvan-Cole reports that 140 meals were served Monday evening.

If you have $10 and you're hungry for a spaghetti supper with salad, roll and cookies, head over to the Fair Park Community Center now, where the ladies of the Junior Auxiliary have prepared just this very thing with their special sauce, whose recipe has been used for over 60 years.

Service is drive-through, so when you stop by, roll down your window.  You can either pay with a ticket or buy the meal at the Community Center doors as I did.  Trust me when I saw the spaghetti bolognese sauce is delicious.

Your payment goes to several good causes, including scholarships for Hempstead County students, assistance with prom expenses and providing meals for those of lower income.
