Hempstead County Courthouse, Road, and Waste Department will be closed Monday, January 19, 2026 to observe Martin Luther Kings, JR. Day.  Will resume regular working hours Tuesday, January 20, 2026.

Hempstead County trash route for Monday, January 19, 2026 and Tuesday, January 20, 2026 will be collected on Tuesday, January 20, 2026.  Please have your trash out by 7:00 AM.
