The décor also matched the theme as the team gears up to have some fun with the kids. A massive detailed backdrop of balloons for photo ops, faux grass hanging from the ceilings and balconies, a magnificent elephant and tiger handmade by Caley Tucker, a zebra, an alligator and animal cages, all a part of the amazing motif for Kid’s College this year. Hempstead Hall is decked out and ready for an engaging, exciting, educational week.
Director of Kid’s College, Akili Moses Israel said, “Today's coffee is a collaboration between Hempstead Hall and Kid’s College. We will start on Monday, June 9th through the 16th. We will have first graders through sixth graders come through and we're going to teach them all about STEAM; science technology, engineering, arts, and math. They'll have a lot of activities that they can do that are going to be both fun and learning opportunities, and the kids are going to be able to both work inside, play outside, they're going to be fed, and it's just going to be a lot of fun. This year's theme is Summer Safari, so we really try to deck it out and make magic for them.”
Everyone enjoyed the atmosphere as they visited amongst each other. Shaking hands, greeting new and old friends. Many talked of current events and there was plenty of excited chatter about upcoming Kid’s College. It’s going to be a great year for the kid’s and staff at Kid’s College.
