FAYETTEVILLE -- Arkansas' John Calipari has landed 2026 Finland five-star Miikka Muurinen on Monday.
Muurinen is a 7-foot stretch-4. He played pro ball in Europe last season. He officially visited Arkansas in Sept. 2024. In the recent Nike Hoop Summit, Muurinen scored 10 points and pulled down eight rebounds in 15 minutes.
He chose the Razorbacks over North Carolina, Kentucky and many others. With Muurinen the Razorbacks now have the No. 1 ranked basketball class of 2026.
Arkansas' class is now is Fairfax (Va.) Paul VI Catholic point guard Jordan Smith, Little Rock Christian wing JJ Andrews and West Haven (Ct.) Notre Dame forward Abdou Toure. From the transfer portal is Furman forward Cooper Bowser and Georgia guard Jeremiah Wilkinson. Returning from last season are redshirt freshman Paulo Semedo and sophomore guard Isaiah Sealy.
The Razorbacks are also waiting final word on Billy Richmond III and Meleek Thomas. Both have entered the NBA Draft, but keeping returning to Arkansas an option.
The Razorbacks recently hosted 2027 Orlando (Fla.) Southeastern Prep five-star big man Obinna Ekezie Jr., 7-0, 220, in hopes of him reclassifying to 2026.
