HDN Executive Director Beckie Moore said she and HDN board members were thrilled to be at the market today. "The Board of Directors and I enjoyed hosting this morning," Moore said. "We are not only promoting downtown business revitalization and historic preservation, but we are visiting with local residents about our third annual Taste of Hope event that will take place October 4th from 6pm to 8:30pm."
Taste of Hope is an HDN project fundraiser, and members of the community vote to decide on which downtown projects are funded. Moore said that this year the event is moving to Main Street for the locale. Restaurants and eateries will line the street along with the displays of LIVE Auction items, Fund-a-Project pictures, and fun games. Everything will be in close proximity to the dining tables. To learn more about Taste of Hope, visit the Hope Downtown Network Facebook Page or see the Taste of Hope Press Release.
Also at the market today were Bolls Family Farm, W7 Farms, Papa's Honey, Tay's Treats, and Lydia's Bread with fresh produce, baked goods, and homemade wares. The Hope Farmers Market takes place every Tuesday morning from 7am to 11am, and vendors provide a variety of locally grown fresh produce, canned items, baked goods, and homemade products.
