The Hope Lions 76th Annual Christmas Auction starts its last night at 6:00 p.m. at Fair Park Coliseum.  Saturdays are when bidding for the biggest items reach a climax and those items are taken home.

Again, as was the case for Thursday and Friday, the Evening Lions will be on hand serving up hamburgers, hot dogs, frito pies, chicken and dumplings, chili, soup and other tasties.

It's all to raise funds to buy grocery boxes that will go to area families of low-income.  Applications for these boxes can be filled in at the auction, at Hope-Hempstead County Chamber of Commerce or at the offices of Caney Creek Estates.

The bidding will start at 6:00 p.m. and the auction will go on until all is sold.
