The Trojans jumped out to a first quarter lead, but it would be the Hornets leading the rest of the way from the second quarter on, as Xavier Bazzelle poured in 32 points, leading Blevins to a big road win. After the game Bazzelle spoke on what the win means: "We've been in a slump lately. We came into a good environment and got a big road win. We came out with intensity tonight."
Blevins knocked down 11 three-pointers in the game and finished with four players in double-figures. Bazzelle led the way in scoring and added six rebounds and five assists and added three steals. Sean Rohan poured in 22 points and had four rebounds. Rilee Faulkner shot lights out, knocking down four 3's and finishing with 14 points. Jaxon Hinton played big down low with 14 points and six rebounds. Paul Antley added seven points and four rebounds. Javi Gomez added two points.
Coach Ethan Dixon said the Hornets had time to study the Trojans' approach. "Yeah we had a three-day game prep for them. We felt prepared. We had to get back our defensive intensity and we came out ready. The crowd was awesome we are very blessed to have this support from our crowd," he said.
Blevins is back in action on Friday against Magnet Cove.
