The game was back and forth in the first half, as Spring Hill trailed 24-21 at the break. The defense locked in for Spring Hill in the third quarter, allowing just 5 points to Woodlawn. Taking a 34-29 point lead into the final quarter, Anna Flowers poured in four 4th quarter 3’s to shut down any hopes of a Woodlawn comeback, leading the Lady Bears to a big non-conference win.
Flowers led Spring Hill in scoring with 27 points coming off 9 made three-pointers. Ava McBrayer poured in 9 points, all in the second half. Laney Flowers scored 8 points and Knightly Porter added 6. Layla Cantwell and Zoey Varner each scored 3 points. Jaci Hoyt scored a team-high 22 points for Woodlawn.
The Lady Bears outscored Woodlawn 35-12 in the second half. The Lady Bears are back in action on Tuesday as they hit the road and head to Dierks.
