HPD arrests week of March 16, 2026
On Wednesday, March 18th, 2026 at 2:07pm, officers with the Hope Police Department arrested Diamond Malone, 29 of Hope, AR in the 800 block of South Mockingbird Lane. Ms. Malone was charged with Possession of a Firearm by Certain Person, Disorderly Conduct and Resisting Arrest. Ms. Malone was transported to the Hempstead County Detention Facility and held for a first court appearance.

On Wednesday, March 18th, 2026 at 3:35pm, detectives with the Hope Police Department
arrested Joseph Sauls, 44 of Hope, AR in the 300 block of South Washington Street. Mr. Sauls
was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance (Marijuana), Possession of a Controlled
Substance with purpose to Deliver (Methamphetamine), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia,
Maintaining a Drug Premises and Proximity to Certain Facilities. Mr. Sauls was held at the
Hempstead County Detention Facility pending a first court appearance.
