In case you missed it — Senator Tom Cotton (R-Arkansas) and Senator Tim Kaine (D-Virginia) joined the Today Show to discuss their bipartisan bill to study the effects of cellphones in schools. The bill would require the Surgeon General to complete a study on the effects of cellphone use in K-12 classrooms on students’ mental health and academic performance. The study would include insights from a pilot program, also established by the legislation that pays for lockers, or other infrastructure, to store mobile devices during school hours.

“This is an issue where we can come together and try to empower parents and school districts to make the right choices for their kids and their students.”
