GMCS beat Cornerstone, OK 25-7, 25-5 the first round of bracket play to advance to the state semifinals against West Side. The Lady Saints played great in the semis, storming into the finals after a great 25-16, 25-19 win over West Side. In the finals, the Lady Saints played extremely well, especially bouncing back in the 2nd set after dropping the opening set to force a third and final set for all the marbles. Liberty would prove to be a very tough opponent, beating the Lady Saints 15-11 in the final set to claim the title.
GMCS played 6 games on Saturday, going 5-1. Gracie Bullock of the Lady Saints was named to the All-State team, as she played lights out on Saturday.
Bullock posted 18 kills in the championship, with 8 digs and 3 aces. Josie Pinner played great with 8 aces, 5 kills, and 12 digs. Lainee Almand had 4 aces, 6 kills, and 8 digs, with Brooklynn Robertson adding 5 kills, 6 digs, 3 aces, and 1 block. Mattie Rogers had 3 aces, 6 digs, and a kill. Anna Bullock had 6 digs, 4 kills, and 1 ace, and Payton Anderson added 4 digs, 2 kills, and an ace.
Great season by the Jr. Lady Saints as they earned some hardware this season finishing the season with 2nd place in the State Tourney.
