Lady Dragons Get 62-30 Win Over Camden HG, Advance to Quarterfinals
Genoa- The Lady Dragons started off the District Tourney on the right note, as they captured a 32-point victory over Camden HG on Monday night with a 62-30 win. Genoa Central pounced on the Lady Hornets early on in the game, taking a 26-6 lead in the opening quarter behind 7 first quarter points from Brenley Ward and 6 points each from Brooklyn Cox and Rylee Fike in the opening quarter to put the game out of reach early. 

Heading into the break with a 35-19 lead, the Lady Dragons offense exploded for 24 points in the 3rd quarter to end any hopes of a HG comeback.

Three Lady Dragons were in double-figures on Monday night as Rylee Fike led the way with 14 points. Brenley Ward poured in 13 points and Brooklyn Cox scored 11 points, as all three of these players got going early on. Ali Pierce scored 6 points, Jessyca Thompson and Kenzie Owen each scored 5 points, with Kelsie Fowler and Kinley Hollensworth each scored 4. 

With the win, the Lady Dragons are set to play Ashdown on Wednesday. The winner of this contest will advance to the semifinals and earn a spot in the Regional Tourney.
