Lady Dragons Top Lady Cats Friday Night
Hope- It was the season opener for the Lady Cats on Friday night, as they welcomed Genoa Central to town. The Lady Dragons were fresh off an impressive home win over Glen Rose, looking for their second win of the week.

Hope grabbed the lead, scoring the first points of the game, but it was all Genoa Central after that. The Lady Dragons really got going, turning defense into transition points, as they took a massive lead into the break and never looked back, winning the game 67-35.

Brooklyn Cox knocked down four 3-pointers and scored a team-high 16 points to lead Genoa Central. Kenzie Owen and Rylee Fike each scored 13 points, as the Lady Dragons offense displayed a very well-balanced scoring attack. Chrissie Ellis poured in 8 points and Macey Williams added 7 points. Emily McGuire and Kinsley Hollensworth each scored 4 points and Lilly Armstrong added 2 points.

For the Lady Cats, Ni'Kierra Harris led the Lady Cats with 13 points, including three 3-pointers. Samiya Monk scored 12 points, 11 of those came in the opening half. D'Vyne Ross added 5 points, Amiya Floyd scored 3 and Janiya Beasley added 2 points.
