Credit a big 3rd quarter for Genoa Central to some good adjustments and a tick-up in intensity, as they began the half down 3 points, but outscored the Lady Beavers 18-10 in the third to take a lead into the 4th.
Brooklyn Cox led the Lady Dragons in scoring with 21 points, including an impressive night at the FT line, going 9/12. Kenzie Owen began her senior season with 10 points. Rylee Fike added 4 points, with Kinsley Hollensworth and Emily McGuire each adding 3 points. Chrissie Ellis added 2 points.
It was a 4-game sweep for Genoa Central on Tuesday, with the 7th grade Lady Dragons winning 14-2, the Jr. Girls winning 39-11, and the 7th grade boys getting a 13-12 win.
Genoa Central is back on the hardwood Friday night as they take the Lady Dragons show on the road to Hope for a matchup with the Lady Cats.
