FAYETTEVILLE -- Arkansas junior forward Adou Thiero has been signed to a reported 3-year contract on Monday.
Thiero, 6-8, 220, was the only Razorback drafted. In his only season at Arkansas, Thiero topped the Razorbacks in scoring averaging 15.1 points in 27 games. Thiero also averaged 5.8 rebounds, 1.9 assists, 1.6 steals and 0.7 block per game. He shot 54.5% from the field, 25.6 from beyond the arc and 68.6 at the free throw line.
Thiero was the 36th overall pick in the second round of the 2025 NBA Draft. The Lakers acquired the draft rights to Thiero via seven-team trade in exchange for the draft rights to Rocco Zikarsky and cash considerations.
Due to a knee injury he suffered at Arkansas, Thiero isn't playing in the NBA Summer League. He's expected to make a full recovery by the time training camp opens late September. Thiero will wear jersey No. 1 with the Lakers.
