Friday night and the next three nights will be impacted by the most active day the sun has had since 2003. A series of solar flares and coronal mass ejections began hitting the earth late Friday afternoon. 

These photos were taken Friday night of the northern sky around 9:00 p.m. Some are from the soccer field at Fair Park. Some are from the grounds of the Hope Country Club.
