Madison Comer Wins at State 4-H O'Rama
Madison Comer, a senior 4-H member of the Hempstead County Teen Leaders Club, competed at the State 4-H O’Rama at the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville, on July 22nd and won 1st Place in the Photography competition. Participants were required to present a short, illustrated talk on photography techniques or methods and show a portfolio of photography work that reinforces ideas presented. Madison secured her qualification to compete at State 4-H O’Rama by winning 1st Place in Photography at District 4-H O’Rama at Malvern High School in June.

Madison is the daughter of Chris & Arron Comer of Hope and the granddaughter of Dale & Peggy Comer of Hope, Mark Shackelford of Mannford, OK, and Renae Arbuckle of Sand Springs, OK. Madison is a graduating senior homeschool student. 

4-H programs are grounded in the belief that youth learn best by doing. 4-H members complete hands-on projects in their areas of interest such as science, health, agriculture, or citizenship in a positive environment where they receive guidance from adult mentors and are encouraged to take on proactive leadership roles.
