“We are so excited about this month’s Downtown Live,” said Main Street Texarkana Director, Ina McDowell, “The Texarkana Winds, our own community orchestra, will have its first performance of the Summer Concert series during this month’s Downtown LIVE!”
The Texarkana Winds outdoor concert is free to the public and is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. at 105 Olive Street. The theme for this concert is “British Invasion” and will feature a variety of works from English composers. The public is asked to bring their own lawn chair and enjoy an hour of amazing music.
One of the key features of Downtown LIVE is the participation of artists who set up along the sidewalks and share their creative process by producing artworks live. Among those sharing their talents this month are crochet artist Charly McNeil of Faithful Made and Miranda Layne, who will be painting live on Broad Street.
Downtown Businesses are in on the fun too! Southern Grace Baby Boutique and Party Venue is offering free homemade ice cream during Downtown LIVE! Want to treat dad to a special night out? Emmie P's Bistro and Bakery has scheduled Grit and Grace: An Evening with Dad, a four-course dinner event scheduled to begin at 6:30. Reservations for Grit and Grace can be made on the Emmie P’s website.
