Nevada Baseball Clinches 2-Seed at District with Win Over Kirby
Rosston- The Blue Jays baseball team earned the 2-seed headed into the postseason play with a 14-11 win over the Trojans on Monday. 

Colin Nelson got the nod from Coach Rhodes, striking out 7 batters in 4.1 innings of work. Justin Myrick came in and recorded the final two outs, striking out 2 batters to shut the door on Kirby. 

At the plate, Nevada had 11 hits and drew 9 walks, as they had traffic on the bases all night. Brandon Wilson, James Harcrow each had multi-hit nights. Myrick, Nelson, Blakely, Daniel Vershay, and Peyton Jackson each had hits for Nevada. Wilson and Myrick each had 3 RBI, as they led the way producing runs. 

Nevada is set to play in Mt. Ida for District and the Regional Tourney is at Columbia Christian the following week.
