Prescott City Council passes resolution approving land sale, hears update on police vehicle fleet
The Prescott City Council convened starting at just after 6:30 p.m. the Senior Adult Center Monday, approving unanimously a legally-required resolution presented by City Attorney Eric Hughes that sells a plot of land adjacent to Park Baptist Church to that church for $23,000.

In Citizens' Communications Rowe Stayton announced a community feed which will occur in the fellowship Hall at The First United Methodist Church on Thursday, April 24th starting at 5:30 p.m.  He also reported on his intent to involve Prescott students in setting up to have community gardens starting next year.  He also said a community dance that will be alcohol free will happen May 31st with live music starting at 6 p.m. at the old armory.

City Council member Satarra Williams said food will be sent home from Prescott's food pantry with students this Thursday.   She said donations are welcome, including frozen food items.

Prescott Police Department thanked the board's budget committee and Mayor Terry Oliver for purchasing two Chevy Tahoes now being outfitted for use on patrol. He said the purchase comes as a Dodge Charger with exhaust problems was declared totalled.  He reported that for the first time in seven years the department will be fully staffed and that it was receiving interest from several people wanting to join the force.

The meeting adjourned at about 7:00 p.m.
