Preserve Arkansas Ramble to Visit Historic Ozarks Sites
LITTLE ROCK—Each fall, Preserve Arkansas hosts a “ramble” or bus trip to a different region of the state. The Ramble explores Arkansas’s heritage sites for an exceptional experience filled with history and fun. On November 8, “Rambling the Ozarks: Twin Groves to Gilbert” will travel U.S. Highway 65, highlighting the unique communities along its winding route from the foothills of the Ozarks to the Buffalo National River. Stops this year include Twin Groves, which encompasses the historically African American communities of Solomon Grove and Zion Grove; Marshall, the Searcy County seat; and the small Buffalo River town of Gilbert. We'll explore multiple sites at each stop and enjoy lunch from Big Springs Trading Company at the Gilbert Schoolhouse and dinner at the Red River Cafe in Leslie. The 2025 Ramble is made possible with generous support from Platinum Presenting Sponsors Darby and Amiee York.

Tickets for the Ramble are $150 and include motor coach transportation from North Little Rock, historic site tours, meals, snacks, and beverages on the bus. Discounted tickets are also available for those who wish to provide their own transportation. Additional information and tickets are available at https://preservearkansas.org/what-we-do/preservation-ramble/. Register by October 24; seating is limited.
