Preserve Arkansas to Offer Education Sessions at El Dorado Sept. 10-12
Preserve Arkansas is partnering with Main Street Arkansas, the host of this year’s annual tri-state Destination Downtown conference, to offer a track of five preservation-focused sessions. Destination Downtown will take place Sept. 10-12 in El Dorado, Ark. A collaboration among Main Street Arkansas, Louisiana Main Street, and the Mississippi Main Street Association, Destination Downtown is the South’s premier downtown revitalization conference.

Preserve Arkansas’s sessions will include:

  • Making the Capital Stack with Joe Borgstrom, Place + Main Advisors, LLC
  •  Heritage Tourism, Storytelling, and Placekeeping with Justin Burch, Washington County Economic Alliance, Greenville, MS; and Daniel Boggs, Greater Greenville and Main Street Greenville, MS
  •  Sustainability and Deconstruction with Mae Bowley, Big Tree Projects, LLC
  •  Emerging Technologies and Historic Preservation with Huy Pham and Paul Kim, APIAHiP: Asian & Pacific Islander Americans in Historic Preservation
  •  Preservation Advocacy with Vincent Michael, Ph.D., Conservation Society of San Antonio.
