Razorbacks, Red Wolves Meet in Double Midweek Series
State (5-2) in a double midweek series, the first of three such series during the regular season, on Feb. 24-25 at Baum-Walker Stadium.

 

First pitch in the double midweek series opener between the Razorbacks and Red Wolves is scheduled for 3 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 24, on SEC Network+ with Brett Dolan (play-by-play) and Troy Eklund (analyst) on the call. 

 

The Razorbacks are 28-5 overall against in-state opponents since 1947, including a perfect 6-0 record against Arkansas State entering Tuesday night’s double midweek series opener. Arkansas went 5-0 against in-state foes last season and will play five total games against in-state adversaries, including Little Rock, UAPB and UCA, during the 2026 campaign.

Arkansas, off to a 3-0 start this season inside the friendly confines of Baum-Walker Stadium, maintains an overall record of 736-247 (.749) in the venue’s 31-year history. The Razorbacks finished the 2025 campaign with 37 total wins at Baum-Walker Stadium, which stands as the most home wins in a season in program history.

Midweek Merchants

The Razorbacks are 1-0 in midweek games this season following a 3-1 win against Tarleton State (Feb. 16) at Globe Life Field. Arkansas finished 11-1 in midweek games during the 2025 campaign and had won 18 consecutive midweek matchups before its winning streak was snapped in a 14-13 extra-inning loss against Missouri State on March 25, 2025.

 

In the Dave Van Horn era, Arkansas has gone undefeated in midweeks twice: 2005 and 2024. In 2005, Van Horn’s third season at the helm, the Hogs went a perfect 9-0 in midweek games, including wins against Centenary, Missouri State, Northern Colorado, Oral Roberts and Oklahoma State. The Razorbacks most recently went undefeated in midweeks games in 2024, completing season with midweek wins against Grambling, UCA, Oral Roberts, Little Rock, Arkansas State and UAPB as well as three two-game double midweek series sweeps over San Jose State, Texas Tech and Missouri State.
