Sanders Signs Executive Order Authorizing Additional Funds for Severe Storms, Flooding, and Tornadoes On or About April 2, 2025
TO ALL TO WHOM THESE PRESENTS SHALL COME – GREETINGS: EO 26-07:​ EXECUTIVE ORDER AMENDING EO 25-07 TO PROVIDE FUNDING, AS AUTHORIZED BY ARK. CODE ANN. § 12-75-114, FROM THE GOVERNOR’S DISASTER RESPONSE AND RECOVERY FUND WHEREAS:​ ​​​On April 2, 2025, severe storms, tornadoes, and flooding occurred in Arkansas and continued with such severity that executive action was warranted to alleviate hardship and suffering; WHEREAS:
​Adverse circumstances have been brought to bear upon citizens and public properties in the State of Arkansas; and WHEREAS: ​​The affected political subdivisions require supplemental assistance from the state to recover from these losses. NOW THEREFORE, I, SARAH HUCKABEE SANDERS , acting under the authority vested in me as Governor of the State of Arkansas, and pursuant to Ark. Code Ann. §§ 12-75-101, et seq., do hereby amend EO 25-07 (dated April 2, 2025) to authorize funding in the amount of $35,000 to be obligated from the Governor’s Disaster Response and Recovery Fund. Such funds will be used at the discretion of the Director of the Arkansas Division of Emergency Management to defray both program and administrative costs. IN TESTIMONY WHEREOF
