School letter grades are based on a multi-part formula established by DESE in 2018 that was provided for in the Arkansas Code of 1987 (revised in 2024).  They take into account student achievement, test scores, student absences and many other indicators.  Those wishing to see the entirety of the reports generated by DESE on their public schools can find them by searching for their respective districts and schools here.
