Secretary of State Cole Jester Signs on to Letter to DHS Secretary Kristi Noem

Secretary of State Cole Jester Signs on to Letter to DHS Secretary Kristi Noem
(LITTLE ROCK, ARK.) – As part of his broader efforts to eliminate noncitizen voting, Arkansas Secretary of State Cole Jester signed on to a letter addressed to Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem on Thursday, February 27, 2025, asking her to help strengthen election security as she restores our nation's secure border.

The letter, signed by more than 20 Republican Secretaries of State, explains the crucial need for Secretary Noem to task the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services, a component of DHS, with prioritizing needed improvements to the Systematic Alien Verification for Entitlements (SAVE) program to better detect noncitizens attempting to vote or registering to vote in our elections.

"One person voting illegally is one too many," said Secretary Jester. "My administration will not settle for less than 100% election integrity. Accurate voter rolls are the foundation of that."

The Secretaries, as outlined in the letter, are hopeful that through Secretary Noem's support, significant advancements will be made to further protect the integrity of state and federal elections.
