A visit today to the Northside Park revealed colorful new additions to activities it will afford to visiting kids in the coming weeks and months.

Today just after lunch, we got photos of a nearly complete splash pad and new playground equipment ready to welcome youngsters. 

Hope Parks Superintendent Summer Chambers said of what is upcoming at North Side, "we do have a few things left to do like add benches and pressure test [the pipes].  We also are about to build new restrooms there. We hope to have it up and running by the end of May."
