Their determination was on full display Tuesday, winning the tourney by one stroke. They shot a combined 236, with second-place Ouachita shooting a 237. They did an excellent job of not letting the moment get too big, and all that hard-work throughout the year paid off with a State Championship. Coach Steed did a great job this season and every golfer on this Spring Hill team competed week and week out.
Connor Foster followed up his remarkable junior season with a State Runner-Up, shooting a blistering 71, earning himself another selection to the All-State team. Connor was selected for and will be competing in the ASGA High School Overall Tournament at Pleasant Valley Country Club on Oct. 16.
Rhodes and Fisher have been lights out all season. Both had multiple top three finishes all season long for this team. Karson Hamilton, in his first year of competitive golf, made an impact for the Bears as well, as his hard work played a major role in this championship. This group learned from each other and showed they are a tight-knit group all season.
Congratulations to the Bears and to Coach Steed.
