LITTLE ROCK, Arkansas — Today’s 6-3 U.S. Supreme Court decision upholding state
laws that keep biological males out of girls’ and women’s sports is a major victory for fairness,
science, and Arkansas values.
Arkansas was one of the first states in the nation to pass a law in 2021 ensuring sports teams are
separated by biological sex.
While Arkansas families and female athletes celebrate this ruling, one question remains
unanswered: Where does Democrat Hallie Shoffner stand on transgender issues in sports?
Hallie Shoffner spent her earlier career as an activist in Peru marching for transgender rights. She
has since deleted her blog that outlined her trans activism and her campaign website contains no
mention of her work for transgender rights in Peru.
Shoffner has also donated prolifically to far-left politicians who oppose Arkansas’s law
protecting women’s sports, including 25 donations to Kamala Harris and donations to Alexandria
Ocasio-Cortez.
As a contrast, Senator Tom Cotton has proudly defended Arkansas’s law protecting women’s
sports and protecting kids from trans surgeries.
Arkansas reporters should ask Hallie Shoffner a simple question: Given your past work for
transgender rights in Peru, where do you stand on Arkansas’s law that protects women’s sports?
