Elected officials and citizens gathered on the Hempstead County Courthouse lawn this afternoon to pay tribute to US Veterans in honor of the upcoming Veterans Day. A wreath was placed in front of the monument on the grounds of the courthouse in hopes of reminding veterans that they will not be forgotten.
