The Lady Gators would win the third set 25-19, leaving the Volley Saints win streak in jeopardy. GMCS would show off their resilience once again, as they pulled away in the 4th set to force the 5th and final set 25-18.
In the final set, it was back and forth, as both teams did not want to lose this match, but it was the Volley Saints who came away victorious with an impressive 18-16 win in the last set to extend their win streak to 5.
Baylee Pogue played another great game, finishing the night with a team-high 12 aces and 8 kills. Silbi Jones led the way with 9 kills at the net. Jones added 9 aces and 2 blocks. Heaven Garcia led the Volley Saints in the digs category with 5 digs. Katie Holland had great game serving with 6 aces.
Addy Peek had 3 aces and 1 kill, Zoe Robertson had 2 kills and 2 blocks. Brailyn Almand continues to play well with a pair of aces, 2 kills and 2 digs. Lexi Crane had 3 aces, Kynlee Glass added 2 digs, and Abby Mendoza had an ace.
GMCS is back on the court Friday night in Shreveport as they take on WOGA.
