The City of Hope, Arkansas is presently accepting applications for Truck Driver/ Laborer. Successful applicants will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of City-owned trucks used in the transportation of earth and construction material, solid waste, and other materials as required and directed.  Successful applicants will periodically be required to operate certain maintenance equipment including tractors, excavators, sweepers, vacuums and loaders.  The starting salary for the listed position will be $36,400 annually based on skills and experience.  Job duties for the position also includes responsibility for routine maintenance tasks such as checking fluid levels, lubricating equipment and performing safety inspections as required for safe and efficient operation. Applicants must be willing and able to perform periodic labor tasks associated with routine municipal maintenance operations as directed by their supervisor. Eight hour work days are normally Monday through Friday. A valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License is required for the position.
