The Housing Authority of the City of Hope is seeking a motivated and skilled Maintenance I Worker to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing a variety of grounds cleaning, maintenance, repair, and rehabilitation tasks across our public housing facilities in multiple locations.

Responsibilities:

•   Perform routine grounds maintenance, including landscaping, trash collection, etc.,
•   Conduct minor repairs and maintenance on buildings, fixtures, and equipment
•   Respond to emergency and routine work orders in a timely manner
•   Operate various hand and power tools, as well as light machinery
•   Maintain clean and organized work areas
•   Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations

Qualifications:

•   High school diploma or equivalent
•   1-2 years of experience in building maintenance, construction, or a related field
•   Proficiency in the use of hand and power tools
•   Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
•   Excellent communication and customer service skills
•   Willingness to work in various weather conditions and environments
•   Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
