Soft-Pop 70s supergroup, the Little River Band, will arrive at UA-Hope’s Hempstead Hall for a Friday, October 5 performance.
In the mid-70s and early 80s, the Little River Band ruled the Pop and Adult Contemporary charts with a string of hits, like “Reminiscing,” “Cool Change,” “Lonesome Loser,” “The Night Owls,” “Take It Easy On Me,” “Happy Anniversary,” “We Two,” and “Man On Your Mind.”
The band’s signature Number 1 hit from 1977 was “Help Is on Its Way.”
Hempstead Hall Director Dolly Henley said, “One of the biggest requests we receive is for more rock bands. I am excited we were able to get the Little River Band here next week. I am excited to offer a different genre to our performing arts list. This is one the public has been waiting for. They have many hits that our customers will love to hear first-hand.”
An authority none other than the late Glenn Frey, who was the founding member of the Eagles, once called the Little River Band, “the best singing band in the world.”
Tickets for the blockbuster show are now available at Hempstead Hall at or by calling 870.722.8565.
