Local Churches Suspend Services following Recommendations not to Gather in Large Groups

In an effort to follow the President’s recommendation not to gather in groups of 10 or more, several local churches have suspended services until April, some will be offering online access for their members.

Below is a list of Churches that will NOT be meeting for church services over the next few weeks. We will update the list as more information becomes available to us.

Bethany Baptist Church – Effective March 17, Bethany Baptist Church has suspended all services and activities until Sunday, March 29.

Calvary Baptist Church – effective March 17, services on March 22 and March 29 are cancelled.  The Wednesday night programs on March 18 and March 25 are also cancelled. The pastor will be at the church if anyone needs to reach him. p

First United Methodist Church – Effective March 17, The First United Methodist Church has suspended services and all activities until April 1, 2020. You may access each week’s sermon online at: https://www.hopefumc.org/

Garrett Memorial Baptist Church – Effective March 17, Garrett Memorial Baptist Church will have online church services. All corporate worship and activities have been cancelled for the next 2 weeks. Links will be sent out to church members to access online services within the next few days. Please call 870-777-3256 for more information. The link for online services is gmbchope.online.church

Spring Hill Christian Church – Effective March 17, all Wednesday night Kids Club activities and church services have been suspended for the remainder of March.

Unity Baptist Church – Effective March 17, all services at Unity Baptist Church of Hope are canceled for the remainder of March. The next scheduled services are on Wednesday, April 1, 2020. The community may access other media events and announcements by visiting UBCHOPE on Facebook or www.vimeo.com/UBCHOPE.
